I am a research scientist, most recently working at CSIRO Agriculture and Food in Canberra, Australia. Before that, I was working in the Theoretical Biology group at ETH Zürich in Switzerland, in the Department of Entomology at UC Davis and in the Department of Entomology at North Carolina State University, in Raleigh, NC, USA.
I am an ecological modeller, and my research focuses on the control of pests and disease vectors. More precisely, I conduct theoretical evaluations of pest control strategies, with a particular interest on genetic control approaches, to study how the ecology and population biology of the target species impact the outcome of control strategies. My latest research has focused on pests of agricultural systems, while in previous projects I have focused on disease carrying mosquitoes.
